It’s what you do with it that counts

Just had a bizarre exchange with someone about my underestimating the power of technology to shape our world. Don't get me wrong, I'm far from anti-technology but…..

This little story I like because it reminds me that it's not the technology itself – the thing we make – but what we choose to do with the technology that counts: not the printing press but the book; not the canvas or the paint but the painting.
