Hard to believe, I know. Una – staple of bad variety shows, Cliff Richard movies (see pic) and of course Til Death Do Us Part is now 70….

Makes me feel a bit odd. Clearly when I was a binky she was on TV all the time and so long as she’s young so am I…an example of how individual sense of identity is largely a social construct (based on others) even if those others are ‘virtual’ others.

Reminds me of a discussion with my mum on my 40th birthday.

“I can’t believe I’m 40…” I whined.

“You can’t believe my firstborn is 40…! And I’m the mother of a 40 year old now!”
