Feel better music

Been listening to this obsessively for the last few weeks. A great – possibly the greatest – reggae album ever produced by yer man Lee Scratch Perry.

Voices and rythym working together. Like a warm and soothing embrace by other(s).

Like “enthusasiamos” applied aurally. This is where popular and choral music really works, I think.

Here’s the gang doing their thing acoustic-stylee. And this one which is almost better? I dunno. It still works.

PS It used to look like this (when I first bought it on vinyl – I think it was on Go-feet, the Beat’s label…) but the new super deluxe version works just as well.
